About Francis Herrbold
Francis Herrbold, a highly recognized Cardiovascular Surgeon from Pensacola Beach, Florida, has significantly contributed to medicine for over two decades. He embarked on his academic journey at Green Bay Southwest High School and completed his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Marquette University. He then received a Master’s degree in Physiology and a Medical Degree from the University of Florida. He completed his General Surgery Residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin and his Cardiovascular Surgery Fellowship in 2005 at the University of Florida.
Career
He has an impressive career record. He worked at the Phoebe Putney Health System in Albany, Georgia, from 2005 to 2020, where he proved himself a dedicated and skilled surgeon. He then joined HCA/West Florida Hospital, where he continues to work today.
Herrbold’s proficiency in surgical skills, including valve replacement/repair, aortic aneurysm repair, and aortic dissection repair, has earned him immense recognition and respect in his field. He has been regularly rated among the top 100 cardiovascular surgeons and has multiple positive reviews on physician rating sites, including Health Grades.

Hobbies
When not performing life-saving surgeries, he loves boating and fishing, hobbies he picked up from his Father. He is also an active member of Florida Fun Fishers. He cherishes the peace and freedom he experiences while boating and fishing and values the camaraderie of the fishing club.

Besides his job and hobbies, he has been actively involved in charitable endeavors. Along with supporting Tunnels to Towers, he is also a generous donor to the Mark Herrbold Memorial Award and the University of Florida Endowment.
